8:00 am - 4:00 pm AWR-154 is a DHS Certified Agroterrorism Course provided free of charge with lunch by the Western Institute of Food Safety and Security in partnership with the Florida Dept of Agriculture & Cons. Svs. This training is designed to show how NIMS improves coordination among responders in an agroterrorism event. This type of event will be different from other disasters, so it is important that response agencies ensure a smooth implementation into NIMS. Team building and risk communication will be presented as key components of a fully functional NIMS. Core concepts of the ICS, NIMS, and risk communication, weapons of mass destruction (WMD) and methods of dissemination NIMS as an all-hazards, and comprehensive approach to collaborative incident management. Maples Center for Forensic Medicine at the University of Florida in conjunction with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals presents a three day conference on the processing of crime The Maples Center Bite Mark Workshop focuses on the proper techniques in forensic odontology; including selection and use of casting materials, impression techniques, and the use of Adobe Photoshop for image processing. This course is designed to demonstrate the techniques for the recognition, documentation, and prevention of bite mark evidence from human skin and animal hide. Methods will also be demonstrated for the documentation of various tool marks and proper photographic techniques plus working with images in Adobe Photoshop for the enhancement of the bite mark and creation of 1:1 comparison images, and report generation. The use and application of digital photography will also be addressed. Class size is limited to 30 applicants!Conference Speakers include:   Bruce A.
